P4PE - Can't Access BIOS!

Hi,

I've had this board running for some time now with no problems whatsoever.

Today, I pressed tab to enter the BIOS setup utility, but it doesn't seem to
have any effect - I can't get in!

I only want in to enable onboard audio, but I'm ceratin I'll need it much
more badly some time in the future.

The keyboard is a simple wired affair, and is plugged in properly (I'm using
it now...)

I'm sure it's something stoopid.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Are you sure that "TAB" key is the right key to press for BIOS access for
your board? In most cases, I see either of the following:

DEL
ESC
F1
F2

Not to say that your board manufacturer didn't decide on TAB, but I've never
seen it used for BIOS access.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply, but the TAB key has worked for the last couple
of years! It just doesn't now!

I presume it's not a broken tab key either

I'd try clearing the CMOS if I were you.

this is an AWARD bios.

Apologies (and thanks) to all.

The splash screen says "Press TAB to show post screen" It *is* actually
Delete to enter BIOS. I must have done it hundreds of times. I built the
machine, I overclock it and I run both XP and Linux and I'm having a dumb
day because I couldn't even remember to how to get the BIOS screen up!
Must be the christmas spirit...

You're "wrongs". Teats being a somewhat generic term relating to all females.
Titties being the colloquialism generally attributed to Human females as opposed
to a generic term that covers humans and barnyard animals. Since the reference
was, presumably (hopefully) in reference to human females, I feel the term titties
to be more apropos. I know of no cases of pumping up the teats on barnyard
animals - but I'm purposely trying not to think of it.
It's late and I'm about to go to bed. I'm wondering if I'll have bizarre dreams now.

You haven't read any James Herriot then... They used to inflate udders
with a bicycle pump - IIRC to treat calcium defficiency before they
realised that a calcium injection was more effective. The strange thing
is not only did someone think of doing it, but it worked.
