Yeah, I've heard that before. That's what people who live in the crappy parts of the world say.

Reply to dhlucke

You thin blooded pansy. I can go down and hang out in 110 degree weather no problem. I can hang out in -20 degree weather no problem. You cry when it hits 50.

Again, pansy.

Try living down here for awhile. Then let me know how cold 50 is!!!!!

Let us geniuses explain something to you.

We live in great weather. It's about 70-75F average year around. Florida isn't as great as California but it's close enough.

You on the other hand live in miserable conditions. You can't get up to pee in the morning without throwing a cord of wood on the fire, dressing in 12 layers, and breaking ice off the toilet seat.

So basically what I'm trying to say is that if you had any sense you would move.

we had 5°F this morning and I went to work with my bike!
but I was feeling very little in my fingers, when I arrived!
going back home was easy... 14°F (and uphill...)

We wear shorts in 40 degree weather.

I wear polos and t-shirts through winter with a leather coat or a light wool coat.

The only thing I scrap ice off is my windshield a couple times during the winter.

I have heat in my house and AC, which in the summer time I run the heat at night and the AC during the day.

My living space is always 72-75 degrees. I go outside for a change.

We enjoy a white christmas every so often.

Pick up ice hockey. We build rinks in our backyards.

Snowmobile, anywhere, through your hated neighbor's yard or down the road anywhere. /RC

We ride our motorcycles if it breaks 44 degrees, without a full faced helmet.

:P

We also study more during school time. Thus, we know the difference between "brake" and "break."

@HardwareBoss: Vienna
here it's not half as bad as it's farther north or east of us: it's below 0°F at some places right now. even in germany some people have died from that cold. but for me, it means next weekend I'm going to skate on "Lake Neusiedel" which (for us without real sea) is big as the sea and is really fun to skate on

damnit I was trying to say we're smarter. :)

No, I only have a beer vest. Only have a large stomach, everywhere else is lean and mean.

It's 72F at my work and feels like 72F. It's 36F at yours and feels like 29F.

Let's let everyone here vote for which one sounds better.

Makes me feel like working and making money. :D

Besides, we have the same sun you do. It's just as warm coming down. Might feel 29 but I could walk outside in a t-shirt right now and be fine..

just as long as it's not windy.

I have family in the Innsbrooke area.

You don't have the same sun. It's not even close to the same.

You're at almost 42 degrees. I'm just shy of 34 degrees.

well we're at 8 here in Vienna, compared to that, it's relatively cosy in Innsbruck with 18! usually it's colder over there than here...
so what, after that morning ride nothing will feel cold again, this winter!

He's out there in left field.. waaay out there.

A constant 75-80 degrees slowly cooks the brain. Kind of like slow cooking or rotisserie.

Reply to Riser

Thanks for the correction on Innsbruck. I knew I did not spell it right. They get a lot of snow. A few years back my cousin broke his leg sking. He was 63 at the time. My mother thought he was nuts sking at his age. I told her he was on ski's at age 1.5 or 2. Guessing and at age 63 that would not stop him.

Reply to HardWareBoss

So that's why you stay inside during the Summer months. So you no fry your brain.

Reply to HardWareBoss

Gee, I guess you've never heard of the tilt of the earth. Those weren't temperatures, they were latitude degrees. 8O

Reply to dhlucke

*lol*, yes that would be very uncommon, if somebody stopped skiing at this young age! my father is 64 and just started again!
and you see some really old people on the slopes. usually they are among the best, technically. but what's even more impressive is when you see them in the summer: walking up the mountains some of the elderly generation are really hard to keep up with! A friend of our family lives near the mountains and does 800m of altitude minimum per day, be it on skis in winter or on foot in summer, and he's 75 and looks it. so if you met him you'd think: old guy, no chance he's going to hold this ferocious pace for more than a few minutes... - and you'd be wrong...

Actually, I was in Florida in July 2 years ago in 90+ degree weather. It wasn't bad at all.. I walked around all day no big deal.

90+ degree weather here seems a lot hotter to me. Maybe it's because we don't have the trade winds.

Personally, I like winter mainly because it's a change. I don't care for heavy routine or the same thing over and over. Winter offers a lot of benefits.. Women are easier since they want to stay home and cuddle, lay in bed.. haha

I'd work a 8-5 pretty much anywhere I went, so what's it matter what the weather is like a 10am? 3pm?

And if it's so nice, why are you inside on a computer right now? You too DH? :?: :P
