I'm having the usual difficulties with clogged ink etc. Can I remove the
half empty carts, insert cleaning carts and then return the old carts to
the printer when I've finished with the cleaning? Will it cause any
problems? Thanks,
John

Right in one. That allegedly is the purpose of the chippery - to remember
the cartridge state and allow reinsertion. It can induce the dreaded
Microbubbles but in practice with a cleaning solution present that is very
seldom.
