Hello All.
I installed a trial of Virtual PC 2004 and was installing another operating system on to the virtual hard drive, but the new OS went past the virtual one and started installing on my actual drive, then it froze. So, I restarted, but when I restarted, I got the Disk Boot Failure, so I did the ASR and everything but it couldn't find windows so I tried EasyRecovery by making it a slave on another computer. Couldn't find anything, even the sectors. So, I have a useless drive that I can't format. Any help on how I can format it?

Wow, I have never heard of that happening. What kind of hardrive is it?
You should use the software that came with it to delete all partitions,
repartition, format. You will lose all of your data, but if you have
tried everything else to get your data back and have failed, at least
you can try to save your drive (which shouldn't be a problem).

To recover the drive and format / partition etc, get hold of Partition Magic.

Partition Magic won't even open because of the drive and the software (Maxtor MaxBlast 3) said it partitioned it but it didn't.

Partition Magic won't open because of it and Maxtor MaxBlast 3 says it partitioned it but it didn't.
