My computer has 3 hard drives. CMOS reconizes all three.
device manager recognizes all 3 but explorer will only
recognize c: which is the main drive f: which is data
storage. It skips e: which came from a crashed computer,
but I need the data from that drive. C: & F: are NTFS
format and E: is FAT32, this machine is XP PRO. Is that
rhe reason it won't recognize it? If so what can I do
about it?

XP formatted in NTFS can see a FAT32 drive. First go to Control
Panel>AdminTools>Computer Manage>Disk Manage. See if you can assign a drive
letter to the drive that is skipped if it shows up there.
If not I would install the drive by itself temporarily as Master on the
Secondary IDE channel and see if Explorer sees it.
