Hi All
I've just refilled the black cartridge (10N0016). It's the first time I've
done it on this unit but I've never had a problem refilling Canon cartridges
in the past.
It worked for a few days but now it causes a printer fault. (It may be
unconnected with the refilling.)
As soon as I plug it in the printer power light starts flashing
continuously, and the printer status light flashes continuously in groups of
3. The printer won't respond at all.
I can put the colour cartridge into the B/W slot OK, but if I put the B/W
cratridge in the colour slot, same flashing occurs, so it is definitley the
cartridge not the printer.
I cleaned up the cartridge with IPA and dried it well and the printer worked
again for a day but now it's gone again. The cleaning could be irrelevant,
it could be chance.
Can anyone tell me what problem this flash pattern means and whether I can
do anything to fix it?
The manual and the Lexmark website are totally uninformative.
Thanks
Mike
