I have a need to connect an array of 7 firewire hardrives to a Windows XP Pro system. Windows can allow access to one or two hardrives but not more. It also boots very slowly when the array of drives is connected. Does anyone have any suggestions or insight? Thanks.

How are they connected?
Each one directly to a firewire port on the PC?
Daisy-Chained (one drive connected to another drive, with the first one
connected to the PC's firewire port?
Are you using a firewire hub? Is it self-powered (has it own power
coonnection to t power wall outlet?)
