After installing a routine windows update, my computer
now seems to have lost its CD-drive. It does not show up
under my computer nor does it recognize me putting a disk
in it. Under the device manager, it is displayed as
having a problem to do with the drivers - but it says
there are no new ones to update, and that it is not
possible to roll-back to previous versions. When i try
and re-install the device by manuall choosing a driver -
the windows CD-rom drivers are displayed. When i choose
one, it starts to install, but then says that there was a
problem, and the drivers may be missing or corrupt. I
have no i dea what to do, and it also seems that i all my
restore points under system restore have dissapeard.
