Hello,

I'm asking here because I couldn't find info on the HP site or in the
archives.

I just got a used LaserJet 5, but without user guide.

1°) I also have some ram modules I would like to add, but I can't
figure where and how to open the printer to add the ram.
Any info or link ?

2°) I added a jetdirect J2552 card in order to connect the printer to
a Mac with OSX.3. The ether link was working with an other printer and
seems OK on the switch.

The card seems to be recognized, for the status page shows an
additionnal menu ITF MOD HP. But NET CFG = NO and if i try to set it
to yes it comes back and again to NO.

OSX.3 printer config won't find the printer, whatever IP connection
type i choose (IP printing/HP jetdirect; via IP HP/auto). (LJ5 drivers
are installed with OSX).

Any link or help for poor lost clueless me ?

TIA.

If you look at the front of the printer, you have to remove the right hand
side panel. Two screws at the back. Under this is another panel, the RAM
goes under the second panel.
