I tried installing Targus mobile port station, but Windows popped up with a warning notifying me that the hardware has not been tested for Windows XP compatibility and if I continue I stand the risk of future Windows problems. What should I do? Should I install the hardware anyway?

More about : installing targus mobile port station

Hello

Well you can just continue and install the software or you can
go to their website and make sure that you have the most currect
drivers for it.

There are two main possibilities:
1) First, Microsoft has not had a chance to test the drivers and make
sure they pass the Windows Hardware Quality Labs test. This makes them
"uncertified" and Windows will warn you. Usually it is safe to continue
the installation, but be careful if you don't know where the drivers
came from
2) Microsoft tested the drivers, but they failed to pass the Widows
Hardware Quality Labs test. This happens when the drivers have not been
well developed or has poor coding.
