I have installed a Sata Drive (primary drive) -- need the driver for window 7 -- where do I download the driver for Window 7?

Solution
If you have an older motherboard who's standard drivers don't include one for AHCI mode, you should be able to retrieve one from them. Otherwise, there is no device specific driver necessary for Windows 7.

If you are having a problem booting with a SATA DVD Rom, check your bios for a PATA compatability mode.
By the way all SATA drives are primary, so check that you have the correct boot order for installing from a boot dvd, dvd first, then the hdd.
