Screen turns black on custom pc help?

i just recently built a computer first one and sometime when ver i do a reboot about 30 seconds after i get to the desktop screen itll go black and i cant do anything but restart it and then usually its fine what could this be ?

sounds like it could be a video card thing

i'd make sure you have the most recent drivers, enough power from the PSU going to it

does this occur when you have your monitor plugged into the ports on the motherboard and your GPU taken out?

i dont know my motherboard dont have onboard video and its basically done this since day 1 :s

and my specs are right underneath this psu should have enought power to power it !
