I bought an INEXQ router which has a USB print-server feature ... for my
home network which has an Epson 880 inkjet. I have been trying to get it to
work but so far no luck. I asked Epson which of their printers "should work"
with 3rd party print servers and they said they offer absolutely no support
or help with such devices. Unfortunately INEXQ is an apparently small
company and has little experience or technical expertise for a specific (3
year old) printer !
I uninstalled the Epson Status Monitor program because it looked like that
might be causing the problem. I gather that usually one has to give up such
things as the staus monitoring when it comes to connecting printers to these
small print servers. (For a B&W laser this would not be a big issue ... but
I am not sure if I want to give up being able to see my ink-status.)
Anyway, if anyone knows if a relatively simple printer like the Epson 880
"should work" with such a print server, please let me know here ... thanks !
