Hi,

anybody tried to run the board with 3 all PCI slots used?

I need all three of them

SCSI controller
WLAN card
TV card

Any body tried it?

I asked because i saw in the IRQ Request table that they are only
using four of eight IRQ Lanes and so Lane A is packed a lot of
devices.

It would be my first Asus since they don't use Award bios anymore.
What is Phoenix like?

Thanks

Not me. The board has just about everything onboard that I need, except
for really good audio, so I only use an add-on PCI audio card.

A TV card I can dig, got one in my MCE PC. WLAN I've got in my router.
But why insist on using SCSI on a mobo that has EIGHT SATA connectors,
four of which allow RAID 0/1 and support NCQ and four of which allow
RAID 0/1/5. SCSI may be a little faster, for sure, but the huge price
difference doesn't justify the small speed increase imho.

Dunno, I don't live in Arizona. ;)
I've been using ASUS boards a long time now, and my experiences with the
AWARD bioses have been reasonable. There've always been a few quirks,
but not real serious problems. My expectations with this board have been
high, although I knew it'd be a bit of a gamble if this first in the
shops revision would perform as well as advertised. So far, I am really
very impressed. It works exceptionally well, out of the box, and I can
safely say I'd recommend this board to anyone.
The BIOS settings lay-out takes getting used to, but it's good.

Yes, I was running a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS, Adaptec 2940UW, and a
Promise ATA-133 controller. This is in addition to using all
motherboard controllers (with the exception of the motherboard sound,
since I used the sound blaster instead).

I did have some issues with jumping mouse while copying from one hard
drive to another, although these drivers were connected to the
motherboard IDE controllers. Also, got a few lockups with repeating
sound - likely due to the Sound Blaster card, although this is not
uncommon for the Sound Blaster (POS).

I ended up removing all the PCI cards chasing a hardware freezing issue.
I have since determined that this is an issue related to running in SLI
mode (the system is entirely stable with SLI disabled, but hardware
locks within 24 hours if SLI is enabled, even with no PCI cards). I
haven't put the PCI cards back yet to see if the repeating sound
hardware freezes were due to the sound blaster conflict, or SLI.
