P4P800-E Deluxe Want to use PRI RAID

Hi everyone. Tried to post this morning but seems to have got lost
somewhere, so excuse if double posted...
Got above mobo. Seagate 80gb ATA100 on primary IDE as master running XP
Pro. Got a liteon DVDRW and Aopen CDRW on secondary IDE as master/slave
respectively. I also have WD 160gb SATA on SATA1 (on intel controller).
I want to put seagate on Primary raid as IDE, booting from it, keeping
XP Pro. Tried following the manual and various post but very confused.
Cannot get the Seagate recognised, never mind getting it to boot. I'm
confused about the BIOS settings. Can anyone be good enough to walk me
through it. I had no problem with my previous setup on a Gigabyte board
with the same drives. I want to use another optical drive on the primary
IDE.
