I currently have 2 Western Digital 200GB Sata drives. One is set up
with windows XP Pro. My other sata drive is not installed yet.
I'm using P4P800 SE Mobo with bios 1007.
These are both brand new drives.
Now, I just need someone to tell me the easiest way to setup the raid
in my system.
Would I have to format the hd with the windows on it??...
I know I have to make a boot CD from the asus CD.
What would the actual order of process to get everything up and
running?

Thank You

Mike

What RAID mode are you interested in running? 0 (striping)
or 1 (mirroring)? If RAID 0, then the RAID controller needs
to setup both drives and all data is lost. For RAID 1,
you can keep the 1st drive with your data and add
have it mirrored on the 2nd drive. The RAID BIOS
will help you to configure everything. You will then to
install the RAID drivers (from the ASUS CD) so
you can install Windows XP. Press the F6 key at the
beginning of the XP install process (when the screen tells you to).
