HI...
My present system is as follows:

Motherboard Name Asus CUSL2

BIOS Type Award Medallion
Award BIOS Type Award Modular BIOS v6.0
Award BIOS Message ASUS CUSL2 ACPI BIOS Revision 1001.A
System BIOS Date 06/21/00

BIOS Manufacturer
Company Name Phoenix Technologies Ltd.

Question:
Is anyone using a 40GB HDD or higher with this Bios in this motherboard?
Reason:
I want to change my HDD to 60GB without upgrading the BIOS.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thank You
Urak

Very old bios !

There are bios available from october 2002.

ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS/Socket_370/INTEL_Chipset/i815e/CUSL2/

The answer you search is simple: how big harddisks did one know about
in the middle of year 2000.

I don't remember.

best regards

John

BIOS flashing should be done with a boot disk and the aflash.exe DOS
programme,
ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/BIOS/BIOS_FLASH_UTILS/DOS/AFLASH/
