My mic is not working

My headphone mic is working in other system but not working in my system. I have its serviceability. It is serviceable but why this problem exists in my system. I have checked all the property box nothing is in mute mode. Help me to short this problem

Try re-installing the sound card driver from the manufacturer's website and see if that helps (if your mic is connected via a head phone like jack). If it is a USB mic, try seeing if the mic manufacturer has a driver update out for it.
