Hi guys. The subject line says it all. I just bought a new Iwill KK266 MB and have mounted in the AMD Athlon chip, 128 MB of PC133 memory, as well as my video, LAN, modem, and sound cards. This is all being mounted inside an old Gateway G-600 ATX case.

The front panel lights come on, then the CD-ROM gets scanned, but then the bootup just stalls out. I don't hear any beeps. Any ideas on what could be the problem? Thanks.

I'm just new to this forum so bare with me, but I have a A7A266 MB and it sounds like your MB is looking for a boot device. You may have configured the IDE drives and jumpered them right, but check out the CMOS for boot device order (floppy, ide,ATAPI)etc. unless you have scsi.Pull those Goddamn IDE cables too and reinsert them. One beep is what you want. After that it's pulling out item (mem, cpu) by item to troubleshoot. It could be your MB shorting out against the case. Try the easiest first.

If you are still having a problem, move this to the Motherboard forum.
