Hello,
yes i turned my lap top on today and a message was saying checking file system on c the type of file system is ntfs. volume label is acer 1 of your disks needs to be checked for consistency you maycancel the disk check but is strongley recomended that you continue to skip disk checking press any key within 10 seconds first i just left it but was still saying this after 1 hour so turned it of and put it bk on and skipped it i have never had this problem till today

You might want to try and do a Windows Update and see if that message appears. I've never heard of something like that on a pre-built machine, so you may want to consider contacting Acer as well.
