I now have 2 hard drives and 1 dvd writer and 1 cd
writer. They all work but for some some crazy reason,
Windows XP Professional does not recognize F:. That disk
drive is there and works. Almost all other programs
recognize it but My Computer doesn't. I've worked many
hours and had no luck what so ever. I'd appreciate any
professional help
thanks in advance

Boot into Safe Mode, open Device Mnager, remove all instances of the DVD
writer, reboot and see if Windows reidentifies it correctly.

Also can try:
http://support.microsoft.com/defau [...] -us;320553

I know this applies to installing XP, but it may also help in this case.
