Loosing Wireless Signal

I have a LAN with 3 wired (Cat 5 to NIC) PCs and one wireless PC, all
feeding into the same router. The router is a D-Link DI-714P+, which is
connected to a cable modem.

Yesterday I was on the internet with the wireless PC, when suddenly I lost
the signal. Of course this happens, but usually I'll get the signal back
soon unless the modem is just simply not getting a signal (because of some
problem with the ISP or whatever). In this case, however, my wired PCs could
still access the internet. I waited about an hour, and still could not get
online with my wireless PC. Then this morning I tried to access the internet
again with the wireless PC , but still no signal. The wired PCs were
accessing the internet just fine.

So I powered down the cable modem and the router for a couple of minutes,
powered them back up, and then the wireless PC was able to get back online
again.

Anybody have any ideas about what was going on? Thanks.

Hi,

You can check with D-Link to see if there is a firmware update for your
router available. Their support web site is http://support.dlink.com/

If you are up to date with your firmware or there is no firmware update
available, I would suggest contacting D-Link technical support directly.
