Smart Failure (boot up)

on the first screen at boot-up, I get a "flashing" message:

"Smart failure predected on primary master ST340016A"
"WARNING: Immediately backup your data & replace your hard drive. A failure
may be immintent."
Press f1 to continue.

ST340016A is my master hard drive which boots to WINDOWS XP PRO on another
hard drive. What files do I need to move to the good drive to make it the
boot drive. I understand i will need to change the jumper switches on the
hardware from slave to master when i remove the bad boot drive.
Also could you guess the problem with the bad drive?
F1 key seems to boot OK.

SMART errors are an indication of pending hardware failure of the drive. Backup the drive and
replace. Check to see if it is still under warranty for a replacement.

When you get a S.M.A.R.T. warning like that the only sensible
procedure is to run, not walk, to the closest computer store and get a
replacement drive.

Reconfigure the drives so the one with XP Pro is the Primary Master.
Then boot your computer with your Windows XP CDROM and select the
Repair (recovery console) option from the menu.

When the recovery console has finished loading and the computer has
stopped at the command prompt enter the following command:

FIXBOOT

That should put the boot files onto the hard drive and it should now
be bootable.

WARNING::::
If your Windows system drive was not drive C: in your previous
configuration then this may cause problems due to drive letter
changes. Be prepared for this.
