Installed Zone Alarm - now Win XP won't start properly

Zone alarm was installed, when computer was first rebooted
an error message sayin that true vector monitor is not
working properly. Uninstalled program and rebooted.
following this windows now fails to start properly in that
it hangs just as desktop display is shown.

Can anyone please help????

Restart the computer and boot into Safe mode, F8 at the boot screen, and try
doing a system restore from a previous point before the install of zone alarm.

This is a hardware problem? Not!

Do as David suggested then contact the help centre for zone alarm.
