Missing CD and DVD drives

in the past 3 months, both my dvd and cd rewriter drives
have vanished off my computer, telling me that there is
no drives connected. What is going on??????, please help

Try this:

Also, make sure it appears in the BIOS and you have them snugly
connected internally.
