Corrupt Registry

I tried to burn a CD and Nero didn't find my burner. After some digging around, I noticed that Device manager had a warning on my DVD and CD-R. It told me that my registry was corrupted. I removed them and re added them and then restarted....no avail. How do I fix this problem?

Did you have and try installing Adaptec/Roxio's Easy CD Creator?
