Hi all,

I am wonderfing if there is a place that I can find the native resolution of
a LCD?

Where can I find this information in the system? Can I obtain this
information by programming?

thank you,

Check on the Manufacturers Website!

Install al correct and uptodate drivers, and remember
that monitors only work to the resolution capabilities of
the Graphics adapter! and some don't handle all the modes
that the Adapter can deliver.

Best to tweak the settings yourself in Display Properties-
Settings!

You can check the EDID Information for the monitor. ViewSonic has made a
nice program for this:
http://www.viewsonic.com/drivers/edid.exe

Hi Nathan, the EDID only gives the maximum supported resolution on that
monitor. It does not give native resolution of the LCD. Do you meant to say
that the maximum supported resolution is the same as the native resolution
of LCD?

Yes, the maximum resolution of an LCD Monitor is the native resolution.
That program should also give the optimal refresh rate as well ;)
