Ok, so after installing SP2, I could no longer open
the 'My Computer' Window nor anything to do with it and
my PC constantly froze. I have now discoverd that it is
when i install the multipass software for my Canon MPC190
All-in-one printer that causes the problem. I have the
latest drivers from Canon and still it occurs. I have
allowed all the programs in the windows Firewall Canon
told me to, but still the problem occurs. So now im stuck
without a printer. If anyone knows how I might fix this
problem, lease HEEELLLPPP.
Thanks. BN.

Wait for Canon to come up with a fix? or
Buy a MFC device that is compatible. or
Go back to SP1.

Anyways, uninstall the software, reboot to Safe Mode, install the
software there, then reboot and see if it works. I have had to do that a
couple times while it was still in Beta (though I haven't had a problem
in RTM).

Post a question on the Canon website about this.
I too have a similar problem with my Canon MPC600f - I
have logged a question on the Canon website. If enough of
us do this then perhaps they will take it seriously.

I manage to get my canon printer MPC190 working after the SP2 upgrade + no
more "hang" when opening window explorer.
what i did. (logged) CHEERS!!!
1. Boot in Safe Mode
2. Remove all multipass software from add/remove programme
3. Delete the default folder for Canon Multipass (programs folder)
4. Open registry and search for "canon" & "multipass"
5. Delete all related registry highlighted for the above
6. Restart PC and start windows normally
7. Install Multipass software and Driver for Printer.
8. CHEERS!!! It Works....
*tinker* I guess the printer driver could not do a proper
migration/installation during the windows update to Service Pack 2. Need to
do a fresh install.
