I had a nice little computer here k6400 on a asus
p5ab and gave it to my sister in law and her hubby
a few months ago, got it back and they said it
just beeps, I can't seem to figure out what
happened or why, they aren't offering much info as
to what happened before this beeping but the p5ab
just beeps in a constant 1 second interval, i also
noticed they "tried" to put the soundcard back in
yet it wasn't in its slot all the way, dunno what
they were doing or why even, I built it and it was
older yet worked fine till I gave it to them.

Now I just wanna figure out what the beep is how
to fix it and ill give it to my kids for elmo
games or something...

anyone help on the beep?

I am gonna check all the cables, ide stuff, ram
and video card/ethernet card slots etc....

Almost guaranteed to be a RAM problem, although some BIOSes will produce
this pattern for an incompletely inserted expansion card.

constant beep "usually" indicates ram failure!
