Hi, I have update my P4P800-SE BIOS to 1.008 release (the last one).
Now I'm not able to print via parallel port, looking into ths BIOS setting I
have found
PARALLEL PORT ADDRESS DISABLED
I have NEVER done this change........ anyway, I have reset it to 378
(default) but the system does not find the printer (by the way it works fine
via USB cable),
I need parallel port because I have all USB port working with other devices.

Any idea ?

Thanks

What make of printer? And it does allow for a parallel
port connection? Some USB printers do not have this
capability.

OK. Go back into bios setup and verify that the LPT
port is set for either bi-directional, EPP or ECP mode.
When updating the bios, it might have reverted the
setting to Normal.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS ?

First, unplug the computer. Then, follow the procedure
in the manual in section 2.6 "Jumpers".

My suspicion would be, there is a data mismatch between
the contents of CMOS and the new BIOS. Clearing the
CMOS might help.
