Hi ,
I have an K8V-SE Dlx mobo, an Athlon 64 2800+ CPU, 512 mb , 160Bb SATA
Seagate HD I have double checked all my connections and everything goes
where it is supposed to go . When I turn the power switch on, it powers up,
all the fans come on and everything seems fine.First was scan device pls
wait ....
serial ch0 master: ST3160827AS
serial ch1 master: no divice
next screen SATA 378 TX2plus (Promise)
was detecting ......divice and I get massege
No divice is found !
BIOS is not installed .
When I star from normal HD (Parallel) Win XP see SATA drive. I would like to
boot from SATA.
Any HELP

Have you installed the right driver files for Sata. They are a Via
driver which are located in the CD that was supplied with the MB.
Look in the driver folder for the Via raid file
Second,
check and make sure your Sata drive is connected to the correct
socket on the mother board. This will be one of the two located
opposite the floppy drive connector. Not the bottom two, they are
for Raid.

I was connected to wrong plug SATA.When I changed to socket closed to
Promise IC , BIOS recognized drive .
