Hi all,

I'm considering buying an AMD Sempron and an ASUS Socket 754 mobo, and I
was just wondering if anyone knows what happens if the BIOS is too old to
support Semprons? Will the board still boot so that I can flash the BIOS,
or will it not work at all? Anyone have experience with this?

Patrik,

If your S754 motherboard doesn't support the Sempron CPU (watch out, check
Asus.com, there are still several one's) the board will most likely not boot
at all. You have to install a supported CPU first, flash the bios and
replace the CPU for the Sempron.
