TUSL2 - Rev. 1014 bios file on Asus ftp server

Anyone have any info about this bios version? It has a relatively
late date (09/2002) for this motherboard, and no mention is made
about it on Asus' support websites:
ftp://ftp.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock370/815e/tusl2/
Emails to Asus have gone unanswered.

Next week I'm going to try putting a 1.26GHz P3-S into a TUSL2
(rev 1.03) and there are conflicting reports on whether the 512KB
L2 Tullies will work on this motherboard. Google archives have
one person saying yes it does work, while another says it doesn't.
And then there's Asus' FAQ which says they aren't supported,
but doesn't say whether they'll work or not. Typical.

Using the CTMC package, this is the microcode support in the 1014t.001 BIOS:

(Commands used: splitawd 1014t.001
lha x 00000001.bin and so on, for all bin files
ctmc cpucode.exe /store )

Tualatins are 06B1 and 06B4 (tA1 and tB1 steppings). That means Asus did
expect devices with those IDs to be used. The family codes are the same
for the 256KB and 512KB cache processors, which you can see from the entries
at the top of the Pentium 3 list on http://processorfinder.intel.com .

Now, visit here and select "Asus" and "TUSL2":
http://www.powerleap.com/SystemSearch.html

The 1.4GHz/FSB133/512KB P3-S is listed as compatible. Which means at least
that chip has been tested.

Once you've got the processor installed, test with the cache latency option
of CPUZ (or another utility that measures cache size), to make sure the whole
512KB cache is visible in Windows.
