Now I connect my iPaq 2210 to my desktop PC with Belkin bluetooth USB
adapter.

The file transfer and dial-up bluetooth services work fine, but when I try
to sync with bluetooth the problems begin.

The problems are not with bluetooth configuration but with ActiveSync
because when I try to connect them, the bluetooth connection is established
between my iPaq and desktop PC but in my PPC screen remains the "try to sync
window" with the cancel and hide options. In the desktop PC windows, after
seconds, appears a advice windows that activesync does not recognize the
device or the connected device is not a PPC.

When a connect to my desktop computer through cradle there are no problems.

Any suggestion?

Bitman.

Could be some conflict in COM ports. Try to:

1. Check if the COM port used by activesync matches the one used for the
Serial Local Service in the Widcomm driver. If they don't, change the port
at ActiveSync so that they match.

2. If it still doesn't work, try to change the COM port both in the Widcomm
Driver's Serial Service, and in ActiveSync. For my experience, COM5 works
well in most situations, but it is often used at the Widcomm Driver by the
Serial Client Applications. In this case, you should first change the port
at the Client Applications, to release it, and then at the Local Services.
Sometimes you will need to reboot in the middle. Also, don't forget to
re-pair your device with the computer after that.

Thanks Helio,

With yours advices I change COM3 port to COM6 in both Activesync and Widcomm
but I advance, pitifully, only a single step.

Now, when I try to sync my iPaq 2210 via bluetooth with my desktop PC, I can
get as far as both saying connected then my PC states it does not recognize
the device emerging a Activesync warning window saying it.

There is no problem in pairing both devices (iPaq and desktop PC) and
sending files between them via bluetooth or connecting the iPaq with the
dial-up services at the PC. My problem is that I can't synchronise via
Microsoft ActiveSync thru the bluetooth.

Looking around (google), I found a forum with the same problems and no valid
answers: http://ppcw.net/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=5893

Is this a Activesync bug?, or what other parameters I can get change?

Sincerely I can't believe that is a bluetooth
problem.

My Belkin USB Bluetooth adapter is
connected to desktop PC thru a USB hub.
But don't forget that I have not problems
using others bluetooth services between PC
and PPC, like files transfer or dial-up.

At this time, I'm sure that's a Activesync
problem, and I'm almost crazy looking for a
solution.

It is definitely not a bug, it is some kind of configuration problem, since

Could you please try COM5? I had the same message you are having when I used

If you're using the Bluetooth on a USB Hub, please try again, directly to

It is definitely not a bug, it is some kind of

the Widcomm drivers.

Could you please try COM5? I had the same
message you are having when I used COM6

It is definitely not a bug, it is some kind of
configuration problem, since I do Activesync
via Bluetooth for 2 years already, using an
MSI adapter and a Belkin Adapter, both with
the Widcomm drivers.

Could you please try COM5? I had the same
message you are having when I used COM6
in the past.

between and I have been the same

Please, let me know if there is any other

If you're using the Bluetooth on a USB Hub,
please try again, directly to your
computer...
