Keyboard remapping?

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.hardware (More info?)

When using PowerPoint the keyboard mapping is thrown off.
Delete/backspace/cntrl+F/etc. can not be used, but the
person is still able to type. Rebooting fixes the
problem, but is there a way to set the keyboard back to
default settings?
