After having to totally reboot my computer 3 days ago, it
has reloaded without recognising any sound devices!
Everything is hooked up correctly, with volumes adjusted
etc. but still nothing happens. The spekers will turn
on, and in the device manager screen under sounds
controller, the title of Avance AC97 Audio appears with a
yellow exclamation mark over it. The device status of
this appears as follows: This device cannot start. (Code
10. I have followed through all of the troubleshooters
to try and fix the problem but to no avail. I am at a
loss, and any help you could give me would be greatly
appreciated! Thanks

Everest Home gives a wealth of info on yr sys.
If the sys is a laptop, or 'main name' pc manu, the pc manu site should
have relevent drivers
