My old motherboard just died ansd I need to buy another for my AMD
Athlon A0700MPR24b slot A cpu.

I have heard there is no VIA support for amd thunderbirds, but I don't
know if my cpu is one of them. I only know the serial number on the
side of it.

I want to buy the ASUS K7V VIA AMD Athlon Slot A ATX Motherboard for
my cpu but am unsure if the two can work together.

Do I need to search for a different mobo or will this one work forf
whaty I have?

Thanks.

A slot A motherboard should work with a Slot A processor. I have a K7V and
use a AMD 800 in it.

The K7V is not on the list of approved motherboards for this cpu though but
mine works fine.

This was a good site in the K7V's heyday but it no longer is active it looks
