Decided to build an AMD rig, but needed an AGP board for my X800XT PE,
so I bought an Asus A8V-deluxe Rev.2 which I saw going cheap. As far
as I can tell it has BIOS v.1007 (at least, that's on the sticker on
the chip), but I want to fit a 3700 SanDiego and I don't think it's
supported. That CPU is supported under v.1011 (I think - it says
supports rev.E) but how can I flash the BIOS? I don't have any AMD CPU
at all. Anyone know if you can fit a new 3700SD to this board and
still get it to flash even if it's 'not supported'? or will it just
lock up?
