I downloaded the update sp2 from MS and now cannot get
past the welcome screen to log in as a user!!
I have tried this in the normal and safe modes, each time
I get past the user log in for half a second before the
pc logs me out saving my settings - Does anyone know of a
way in so that I can delete the recent download?

Coza, have you tried uninstalling SP2 in Safe Mode and seeing if that
helps? To get into Safe Mode, press F8 before the Windows Logo appears
during boot up.

What seems to be happening in most of these cases with SP2 are the poor
states that some people's computers are in compared to the states of the
systems that it was originally tested on. There are a lot of people
with existing problems before updating to SP2. Installing SP2 seems to
make the situation even worse in some cases. The other half of the
story is SP2 doesn't play well with some software/drivers. It may take
some time before these problematic software programs and drivers are
finally designed for SP2.
