Also, please note that there is no "in place upgrade" from Windows XP to Windows 7. When migrating from Windows XP to Windows 7 you will need to perform a custom install. This method will bring your files over from Windows XP into Windows 7 and save them in a "Windows.old" folder. All of your applications and documents stored in other parts of the hard drive (other than Documents and settings) will need to be reinstalled / transferred manually.
