Not sure what you're talking about with Iran and I'm not really sure this should be the main issue.

Muslims around the world are complaining about ANY depiction of ANY prophet, including jesus if I'm understanding this correctly. It's against Islam to have icons of the prophets from what I understand. When it comes to Allah and muhammed they're ultra serious I guess:

"[Allah is] the originator of the heavens and the earth... [there is] nothing like a likeness of Him." So it's against the rules.

"[Abraham] said to his father and his people: 'What are these images to whose worship you cleave?' They said: 'We found our fathers worshipping them.' He said: 'Certainly you have been, you and your fathers, in manifest error."

Realistically none of these quotes from the Koran sets anything in stone so all they're going off of is tradition.

To hear these muslim leaders come on the radio and complain about the danes poor taste now but not when we depict jesus is a double standard by their own rules.

I find the whole thing boggling. These people need a hobby. Get them some twigs to play with. Anything!....

Who cares about muslims?

I'd say dannish newspaper did not publish cartoons about Jesus, because they did not want to offend christians. Looks like they felt okey to offend muslims. That is clear double standard.

I think Iran uses this issue as a point in their struggle with West over their nukes.

Please don't do either of those things anymore!

i think jesus could beat up Muhammad.

I think Bush could beat both Jesus and Muhammed.

Cheney, Rummi and Bush can easily beat up Jesus, Muhammed and Buddha in 3 vs 3, as long as Karl Rove is the anouncer.

Caring about muslims? Are these cartoons implying we don't care about muslims or are they implying that islam is being hijacked by fundamentalists and jihadists?

As far as I'm concerend they can complain about christianity too. That's not the point here though. Are we going to discuss what the people in the streets are actually complaining about or aren't we?

Iran and nukes? That's related to these cartoons? You're going to have to say more than what you did if you want to make that point.

They should depict Bush with a nuclear ICBM for his manlihood.

That would be a fair come back.

USA is the great country to carry political and social experiments on.
If experiment succeds, Canada will follow, if not, well, there are always China and India.

What little experiment spawned you? The 'Can a lobotomised monkey live in Canada unnoticed' one or the 'how many brain cells can you remove from a slug before it dies' one?

The "Professional troll with one hand on the buzzer" school methinks.

I see......how would you know if your experiment worked on the Americans though?
