Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 error message

When plugging my webcam into its USB port I get an error
message which says 'The parameter is incorrect'.

Any idea'show to get this fixed so the webcam can be used?

I have tried a reinstall of the driver - but no luck?

Have you tried different drivers instead of reinstalling the same ones?
Have you tried contacting the maker of the webcam or checked their
site for support?
