I'm having problems playing back dvds. I have windvd and
windows media player. I used to have no problems but now
windows media players states it is currently unable to
play dvd video, error id = 0xC000116A and Windvd
states "create overlay failed. Please lower your screen
resolution or color depth and try again". I lowered this
and it made no difference. I downloaded the latest media
player and it made no difference. This seems very odd
given that I always used to be able to play dvds.

Any ideas please?

What has changed?

Nothing that worked 'yesterday' will cease to funtion 'today' unless a
change has been made.

Be a good sport and advise what you've done that caused this problem and
others may be able to help.

Failing that: uninstall WINDVD and start again.
