hi, i have installed an ecs 848p-a board w/ p4 2.4 proc.
windows xp pro. the system works ok, when i look in
aida32 it lists everything correct except the motherboard
memory bus property effective clock is listed at 333mhz
instead of the 400 with is supposed to be available. i
have pc3200ddr stick, and checked all the bios settings.
when i attempt to thange the cpu clock speed fr4om
anything other than 133 i get a black screen w/o error on
reboot. is the 333mhz normal for this board. tech support
at ecs is sub par. thanks
john

Man do I hate ECS :(

Check ECS's website for a BIOS update if available. The memory should
be running at 200 MHz and the FSB should be running at either 100 MHz or
200 MHz (not sure if your CPU is Quad pumped like mine or not). Use
Everest Home from www.lavalys.com to check your system as this is where
AIDA32 has gone :)
