Is there a limit to the number of USB devices a computer
can support? If the computer doesn't recognize all the
USB ports, can this be corrected?

I am running a P4 1.6Ghz PC with an Asus m/b, with 4 USB
ports. I appear to have access to only 2 USB ports at a
time.

I have alogitech camera hooked up on one port, and a USB
memory stick on another. This weekend I added a logitech
cordless mouse to the 3rd port, but the memory stick was
unplugged.

This morning, when I plugged in the stick, my computer
rebooted and kept rebooting, until I unplugged the memory
stick, then it booted up normally.

When I check hardware devices, I can only "see" 2 USB
ports even though there are actually 4 on the PC.

Is it pssible to reconfigure the system, so that all four
are recognized?

Anyone?

Each Root Hub usually controls two USB ports.
