I just built a new computer incorporating an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium
motherboard. Everything works very well except for the Realtek
on-board sound. I have enabled it in BIOS and tried various drivers to
no avail. Once the software is loaded and I reboot the computer it
goes into a constant reboot cycle. It gets as far as the Windows XP
screen and then re-boots. I can use a SB audio card in it with no
problem but I am puzzled why the on-board sound doesn't work. My BIOS
is 1005.
Any feedback on this is very welcome. I have heard of similar problems
with other ASUS MBs but no real resolution.
Thanks in advance.
