Missing Excel file

Hello all. Help would be greatly appreciated. I think I
am losing my mind.
I have a particular Pockket Excel file that I use
frequently to track my cash usage. Simple spreadsheet
with no advanced features (autofilter, shading) other
than a couple of simple formulas. I use this at least 5
times a week. This morning, I was going to open it, and
it was not on the Pocket PC (Toshiba E310). I do not
recall deleting or changing anything that would have
caused this to disappear. It was stored on my storage
card, which has plenty of memory.

I consider myself a fairly competent user that has
tackled many other issues (sync problems with
intellisync, for example) with the unit. And there have
not been any other recent problems.

If anybody has any ideas about this, please let me know.
Thanks.

Have you got a card reader that connects to your PC? If so you can try to
recover the file- all the OS does when a file is deleted is to mark that
space as available for use by changing the first letter of the file name to
a sigma. If you have Norton Utilities you can access Undelete to try and
recover the file- the problem is that if you've written to the card since
the file was lost you may have overwritten the area it was on meaning you
won't be able to recover it. There used to be other shareware/freeware tools
for file recovery after deletion if you don't have/can't get NU. But don't
write to the card until you've tried to recover the file.
