Hi everybody. I want to build a new system and sell my old one. This is a complete system except that it will not come with the monitor, the keyboard, mouse or speakers. I built this system myself and tried to select the best pieces I could. However, I did not have the goal of over clocking in my mind so I bought low latency ram instead of extra speed ram. These are the specifications:
Note that in the picture you see the case sitting on weird little feet. They never would stay on so I got rid of them, it sits fine without them since the bottom is flat like a regular case. Also note that Many of the LEDs on the fans in the case have burned out and you would have to replace them if you want them to glow bright. Also, there may be some minor scratching on the case window through normal wear.
Power supply: I just replaced this because I thought the old one might be going out. It is now a Antec SmartPower 2.0 500 watt supply. It is one of those fancy ones that lets you unhook cables that you don’t need.
This motherboard will let you add UV lights to make slots and stuff glow on it. It also comes with something called a FRONTX which I added to the case. It takes up a slot wear CD drives go and lets you hook up headphones or microphones and it has 2 usb ports which are hooked up and working.
Processor: Pentium 4 2.6c with Hyper Threading (over clocking capability is unknown because I don’t really know how to do that and I bought memory that I don’t think is made for overclocking) The cooler on the chip is a thermaltake one and has variable speed control.
Hard Disks: This sytem has a Seagate barracuda SATA 120gig and a western digital 80gig drive. They are both at the 7200 rpm level.
Optical Drive. This comes with a sony dual layer dvd/cd burner/rewriter.
Operating System: Windows XP Pro. You will get the orginal XP disk and the certificate of authenticity thing (the tiny paper with the cdkey on it) I have installed so many times that I made a “slipstream” disk that has service pack 2.0 built right in. So you will get that disk to, its legit like the first one and uses the same CDKEY.
The overall condition of the system is pretty good I think and I just want to get a dual core one now. If you have any questions, just let me know. I think I have covered everything. I am wanting $599 for this.
