I am trying to install a new HP PSC 2410 all in one unit
on my system with no luck. HP support had me try a bunch
of stuff, then said it was an OS problem. When I try to
install the new unit, my system detects new hardward and
then reboots without installing the the hardware or
finishing the software. I have tested the usb cable and
inputs with another scanner and they work fine.I replaced
the all in one, but still have the same problem. Any
ideas?

You must install the HP software first before connecting
the HP PSC 2410 to your computer. Read and follow
the HP installation procedure:
