I tried to update this BIOS from 1018 to 1023 there are some updates in the
1021 and so versions so I wanted to update to the newest. The flash was
successful on 1023 but it lost my onboard network connection it didn't see
the motherboard connection. Yes, after a BIOS update I always go into the
BIOS and make sure that everything is correct and it was I had the onboard
LAN connection enabled. I decided to try 1022 BIOS and the same thing
happened. Frustrated I flashed back to 1018 and the onboard LAN connection
works.
Has anyone had this problem?

I updated to 1023 BIOS w/o my onboard LAN dying. More than likely i
will flash back to 1021 BIOS. I got the dreaded blank screen once.

Well I finally did the move to 1023 and what a pain. I disabled the onboard
LAN and put in a reliable Intel Nic. It did the upgrades that I needed and
solved multiple problems on the SATA/Promise side as it was stated. I will
wait to see if this is going to be as stable as 1018 was for me.
